Georgia’s
First City! Founded in 1733, Savannah is a city rich in history, charm
and Southern hospitality. Savannah has one of the largest historic districts
in the United States, with thousands of architecturally-significant buildings
nestled under giant live oaks hung with Spanish moss. Each year, Savannah
attracts millions of visitors from across the country and around the
world. Whether you're planning a trip to Savannah or hoping to relocate
in the future, we hope you will keep us in mind to help you make the
most of your time in Savannah & the Islands. 16 miles east of Savannah is Tybee Island, a small barrier island. This
three mile long beach is perfect for sunbathing, relaxing & just
enjoying the calm atmosphere as the waves of the Atlantic Ocean roll
in. The island's south-end pier and pavilion is a venue for strolling
above the ocean and listening to the music of the live bands. The south
-end is also where you will find all the local shops and many places
to fill your appetite. You will find that Tybee Island is not as commercialized
as many of the other beach towns along the coast. It prides itself on
its laid back atmosphere. |
